Don Bosco and Europe

Since September 2011 DON BOSCO has been involved in different European projects as ETWINNING, Leonardo and Comenius. The main aims of these projects are to improve the quality of training systems by developing and transferring innovative policies, courses, teaching methods, materials and procedures between different European partners trough contacts and also mobilities.

DON BOSCO school is a large school with a Secondary High school, a High school and a Vocational High school (with industrial maintenance, electricity, printing and graphism, mechanics, metal work, woodwork, air-conditionning and heating sections). It represents 1500 students and about 150 teachers . We are located in Nice in the South of France on the sea side, close to Italy. Our different projects ;

  • 2011-2012 : E-twinning project” The triangle of cultures” between 3 countries : Estonia, France and Cyprus. The project has been awarded by the Quality Label for an E-twinning project in October 2012
  • 2012-2014 COMENIUS : “Voices from the sea” 7 countries are involved in this 2 year-project : Estonia, Italy, Ireland, Turkey, Portugal, Germany and France
  • 2012-2014 LEONARDO Mobility and Vet pro : Collaboration with a Swedish School . We have received 12 teachers and some of our students are going to do their work-placement in Sweden during 3 weeks.

— The strategic objectives of Don Bosco trough these projects are to improve the quality and efficiency of education and training, promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship but also improve and increase the mobility of pupils and educational staff across the EU. The aim is to encourage learning, innovative ICT-based content, services and better teaching techniques and practices ;. So if you are interested in such projects please join us.
